Cake Decorating Ideas

Cake decorating ideas for boys is easy.  They like cars, trucks, bugs, and so on.  But boys who are 10-year-old can be hard to please.  They don’t want to be thought of as young, yet they are not yet teenagers.  So, when it comes to decorating a birthday cake for these boys, you may be facing challenges.

Fortunately, there are simple cake decorating ideas that 10-year-old boys are sure to love!

First, bake your cake.  Vanilla or chocolate will be fine.

Next, get frosting.  Lots and lots of frosting!  It can come from a can, a container, or you can make it yourself.  Decorate the cake with lots of frosting.  Make a mountain from it.  Then, place some cars on the mountain, as though they are driving up the mountain.  If the boy is into Pixar’s Cars, then you can use cars from the movie.  Otherwise, any type of car will work fine.  Jeeps may be a good choice, too, as they are rugged enough to climb mountains.

You can add some ‘obstacles’ for the cars.  Jelly beans, especially brown and black ones, make great rocks that can block the cars as they try to climb the mountain.
