Tools for Gothic Birthday Cake Decorating Ideas
Gothic birthday cake decorating ideas can be hard to come by. Chances are good that if you visit your local grocery store and flip through the available cakes you can order, there is not a single gothic cake to be found. You might be able to talk a cake bakery and talk someone into making a gothic cake for you, but there is no guarantee of this.
You can take matters into your own hands and make your own gothic birthday cake. It really wouldn’t be very hard. First, you need a cake. You can make just about any kind of cake you want, but don’t neglect its color. You can make it black with some black food coloring (it is available in liquid or powder form). Or, you can make a red velvet cake, which is both delicious and will be wonderfully deep red in color.
After your cake is baked and cooled, it is time to decorate it. That’s the fun part. You can leave your cake in its current shape, or shape it into a coffin by carefully cutting the edges (if doing this we recommend that you do not use a round cake pan).
You can decorate it with black icing, black frosting, and/or black sprinkles. If you want to add a touch of color then you can accent it with white or red. Remember, have fun!
