I have two daughters who are interested in decorating cakes. This is priced right for the beginner to get all she or he needs to get started. I learned how to decorate cakes 18 years ago and still use my original tips. They must last forever! This is a wide selection of tips that will allow you to make many designs, practically any that you can think of!

I just purchased this set last weekend, and this weekend I used it to make a birthday cake. I loved all the tips and the booklet has great ideas and clear instructions. Also, the food coloring colored the frosting beautifully.

It looks like it would be a good buy. But it really wasn’t for me. I purchased this a few months ago when I began decorating cakes. The only thing good I can say about the set is the book was very helpful and easy to follow. The food coloring, while professional coloring, was very hard to use (no dropper), measure (no dropper) and horribly stained everything it came in contact with. It is not for beginners! And while you do get a good assortment of tips – you may find that you do not use half of them. I found I could pick out tips at my local Five and Dime Store for less than a dollar. And if you are considering getting this as a gift for a cake decorating enthusiast, chances are they already have all the tips they would have used from this set.

I love this set- it’s perfect for beginners who wants to start decorating their kids cakes, etc. I got it real cheap as well- under $20.00 with no shipping charges since I bought more items with the “save shipping charges” on them. Wilton makes great products and I’m glad I got my beginner’s set from them through Amazon. Thanks Nerry

Great beginners set. It includes everything you need to start decorating cakes on your own. The book is very helpful and includes extra bags which are nice. A little hard to use the coloring, but can get used to it. This same kind of set will set you back more than $50 if purchased from a cake store or crafts store.
